it’s not a secret anymore,

Hey y’all, happy Labor Day. Enjoying the heat? Well, not that I have to remind you, but Christmas is soon approaching. Sometimes, no most of the time, I’m way behind getting ready, you know what I mean? Well, I’ve been working on a new Christmas venue, along with Ruth Ellen’s Flowers, to bring something new to this area. Ruth Ellen’s is located at 321 E 4th street, Russellville, KY., in the historic saddle factory. The owners are Alvy Holloway and Connally Holloway. This year’s Christmas session will be there with cut trees that you can buy and/or have a session with your family. Also, inside will be a mantle decorated with holiday decor. We are looking forward to this special event and want to invite everyone to come. More details to follow. For more information, you can call me at 270-725-0251.

DUCKS ARE SO UNPREDICTABLE

SO ANNA LEE PUTS HER FOOT IN THE WATER, AND A FISH NIBBLES ON HER FOOT. NO WAY WILL SHE PUT HER FOOT BACK IN THE WATER! THEN, THE DUCKS ARE CALM, BUT SUDDENLY SOME DECIDE TO FLY. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE SURPRISE ON THEIR FACES. BUT THEN, THEY DECIDE TO WALK LIKE A DUCK, AMUSING US ALL. THEIR DRESSES ARE PERFECT TO SWIRL IN AND THAT’S WHAT THEY DO. SO MUCH FUN WITH THESE TWO.

BIZZZZY AZ BEEZ

VISITING WITH RUSTY MARTIN, BEES HAVE INTRIGUED ME AS THEY HAVE HIM. HE IS SO KNOWLEDGEABLE, TEACHING ME ABOUT THEIR UNIQUE WAYS OF SURVIVAL. NOT EVEN AN ANT GOES UNNOTICED TO THEM, AS IT WOULD UPSET THEIR HIVE, TRYING TO GET TO THEIR SWEET HONEY. THOSE CARRYING THE POLLEN ON THEIR LEGS NEVER STOPPED TO VISIT WITH THE OTHERS. AS FAST AS THEY WENT IN, THEY CAME BACK OUT TO GATHER MORE POLLEN.

ALL OF THESE WERE TAKEN WITH OLYMPUS AND MACRO LENS. I FEEL LUCKY TO HAVE GOTTEN ANY GOOD SHOTS AT ALL .

THE EXPRESSION, BUSY AS BEES, IS SO TRUE. THEY NEVER, EVER, STOP. AND, I WAS NEVER STUNG!

The Wedding of Holly and Roger 8-18-18

                “It was meant to be”

This was said many times this night as Holly and Roger had known each other since first grade.  When their paths crossed again after all these years, they knew it was meant to be.  Surrounded by families and friends, they exchanged their vows as the sun set at the Arling in Franklin, KY.   Food was provided by the Whit’s Dogs Food Truck which was a hit for all. Their granddaughters performed a special dance for them. Holly and Roger shared their first dance to a special song. The big surprise, was no wedding cake! But their toast was made with cupcakes. And they’re still just as married.  Later, Holly and Orville laughed and danced over memories from years ago.
